Yvonne qualified from Cardiff School of Art and Design at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2008 with a 2:1 BA hons degree in Contemporary Textile Practice. Whilst training as a Designer her work has been exhibited in China, The Millennium Centre, Llantarnum Grange, Ikea, UWIC, The New Designers, Islington, London, Bute Place Gallery, Cardiff and The Old Library, The Hayes, Cardiff. Yvonne now works as a freelance designer.

Yvonne lives in the beautiful countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan. Inspiration for her work emanates from her love of nature and the way in which its imperfections, disregarded by most, take on a beauty of their own. Her work is inspired by the environment, both natural and man made and the weathering processes which help create rust, weather beaten decaying buildings and dead or dying plant forms. These forces of nature provide her with a constant source of inspiration.
